Thai Language Visas are available for as long as a student wants to study with us. The visa must be applied for outside the country of Thailand and cannot be changed over from a tourist visa within the country.
All official documents used in the visa process must be certified by the student's home country. This can be done at the embassy of the student's home country.
The visa application takes about 2 months before you plan to arrive in Thailand. Renewals also take about 2 months. The applicant is not guaranteed to get a visa. The Department of Education and the Immigration Department make the decision.
The initial visa fee is 5000B. It is non-refundable and must be paid at the beginning of the process. If there are dependents under the student visa, the fee is 10,000B for all.
Immigration fees are in addition to the visa fees. Immigration charges 1900B each time you renew your visa.
The Thai government requires student visa holders to pay for the duration of their studies in advance. See the tuition fees for 6 months and 1 year below, along with the study hours requirements.
If the student must stop studying before their visa is finished, they need to request a "cancel visa" letter from the school to present to immigration. Tuition will not be refunded.
All students under an education visa in Thailand are not permitted to work under any circumstances.
For Chinese Students: Education transcript and degree needed a certified translation into the Thai language, and notarized by a notary republic.
Documents needed: 1 certified copy each and 2 photocopies with signatures.
